basedBelgiumfocusQuality + AI

I’m a Staff Engineer specializing in agentic automation, internal tooling, and quality intelligence. I build AI-powered platforms and agent workflows that help engineering teams move faster, operate more autonomously, and improve accountability.

Drawing on deep expertise in test engineering, I have transformed quality engineering from a support function into a product-grade capability adopted across engineering organizations.

My story

I come from Macedonia and live in Leuven, Belgium. I hold an M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering & Information Technologies from Saints Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje.

Curiosity pulled me toward testing, automation, and AI workflows: the goal was never just finding bugs, but building feedback systems and internal tools that let engineering teams move fast with justified confidence.

That same mindset drives my work today: building practical agentic automation, Safetynet intelligence tools, LLM workflows, and sharing useful engineering patterns on this blog.

What I’m testing now

01

Agent delivery

How coding agents perform when the brief includes evidence, constraints, and explicit completion gates.

02

Independent review

How fresh-context reviewers catch security, logic, and quality defects the builder misses.

03

Browser evidence

How Playwright and exploratory QA turn UI confidence into reproducible proof.

Aug 2022 – Present

Senior SDET 2 – Test Automation Enablement

Collibra

ToolchainPlaywright (TypeScript), Workato Genie, Slack API, Vertex AI, DataDog, OTEL, GitHub Actions, NX, Grafana, AWS, GCP, Dataplex, ADLS, Purview, Databricks

  • Core member of a 5-person team that built the company-standard Playwright (TypeScript) UI automation framework, now adopted by 15+ teams across the engineering organization. Defined multi-layer test strategy (Unit, Integration, Component, API, UI) for all metadata integrations (AWS, GCP, Dataplex, ADLS, Purview, Databricks).
  • Built and maintained a full-stack test results platform that replaced Grafana dashboards with visibility into pipeline stability, failing tests, root causes, flaky test tracking, and team SLA accountability. Tracks 50,000+ daily tests across FE PRs with a flaky rate below 0.8%.
  • Led early adoption of AI within test engineering by developing LLM-powered skills for Playwright CLI integrated with GitHub, Jira, and Confluence for grounded PR context and test scaffolding.
  • Built and evolved TAE Genie (internal Workato AI workflow system) with reusable skills for Jira, GitHub, Confluence, and DataDog, enabling grounded engineering assistance across 15+ teams.
  • Productized the TAE Slack bot into an internal automation platform integrating Jira, GitHub, Vertex AI, DataDog, and OTEL — saving ~8 hours/week via self-serve AI-powered workflows.
  • Owned the company-standard E2E GitHub Actions pipeline across 15+ teams with multi-browser/multi-shard support and NX-affected smart test filtering (reducing test execution time by ~30%).
  • Primary quality engineering advisor across engineering teams, creator of SDET onboarding docs, co-author of the engineering quality newsletter, and driver of the Test Automation Community of Practice (CoP).

Aug 2021 – Aug 2022

Senior Automation QA Engineer

Aaqua

ToolchainPlaywright, Detox, TypeScript, JavaScript, k6, GitHub Actions

  • Led test automation architecture for Mobile (Detox) and Desktop (Playwright/TypeScript) applications, implementing Page Object Model pattern and maintaining a shared Test API library.
  • Established k6 performance testing benchmarks for micro-services; maintained and optimized CI/CD pipelines to reduce E2E execution times.
  • Facilitated agile ceremonies (postmortems, root cause analysis, three amigos) and acted as the voice of quality across the team.

Jan 2021 – Jul 2021

Senior QA Engineer

Isabel Group (KUBE Project)

ToolchainJava, Cucumber, Swagger, REST API, GitLab CI/CD

  • Owned the complete API automation platform — refactored BDD test codebase (Cucumber/Java), introduced a Swagger-based API client library, and established a daily CI/CD pipeline aligned to a zero bug policy.
  • Collaborated with the product owner on prioritization and guided the full team on quality best practices.

Apr 2019 – Dec 2020

Senior QA Engineer

Sitecore

ToolchainSelenium (C#), SpecFlow, k6, LoadImpact

  • Improved automation platform using Selenium (C#) and SpecFlow; co-led full refactor of the performance testing platform using k6 and LoadImpact.
  • Analyzed image processing configurations (GPU vs CPU, Windows vs Linux) for resource optimization in a Digital Asset Management system; mentored junior QA engineers.

Jun 2016 – Apr 2019

QA Engineer

Navayo Technologies

ToolchainAndroid Studio, Java, UIAutomator, VoIP, MDM, Shell

  • Initiated company’s first mobile automation effort using Android Studio (Java) and UIAutomator; performed VoIP quality and MDM platform testing.
  • Drove transition from Waterfall to Agile Kanban; responsible for test planning, case creation, issue tracking, and coordinating testing activities.

Coffee, curiosity, and a quiet reset.

01 / FUEL

Coffee & Craft

Genuinely passionate about coffee—experimenting with different bean origins and brewing recipes, usually paired with podcasts on AI, startups, and finance.

02 / CURIOSITY

System Deep Dives

Exploring new toolchains, tinkering with LLM agent architecture, watching technical YouTube deep dives, and learning through hands-on tutorials.

03 / RESET

Offline Headspace

Stepping away from screens for basic workouts and hanging out with friends—though even off-duty, there’s always something on my mind.
